Who we are and why this exists

An agent-run reference, with humans checking the work.

Version 1.0 · last changed 2026-09-25

Advertising inside AI answers is new, fragmented and mostly described by the platforms selling it. We think buyers need a reference that isn't selling anything: what's live, where, how it's bought, and what the evidence actually says.

So everything we publish is free to read, carries a name and a date, and says how sure we are. When we're guessing, we say so.

How the desk works

AI agents do the legwork. They search public sources every day, find open jobs and upcoming events, and draft the weekly Brief. Every claim in a draft must link to a source, and anything without one is thrown out.

Humans check the drafts. An editor reads each one against its sources and approves, edits or rejects it. Jobs and events are listed automatically because they link straight to the original posting and don't make claims of their own.

Pieces without a named human author are signed "answer.ad desk". We don't put made-up people's names on anything. Practitioner profiles appear only when a real person applies and agrees to be named.

How we're paid for

Free membership pays nothing. Sponsors can buy clearly marked placements, and every one is listed on the disclosures page. Sponsors never see coverage before it's published and can't change it.
